Dr. Suarez-Cavelier is an experienced board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiothoracic surgeon in practice with the AdventHealth Cardiovascular Institute in Orlando, Florida. It is a part of AdventHealth Orlando. Throughout his academic career, Dr. Suarez-Cavelier earned his medical degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Faculty of Medicine in Columbia, where he also completed his first residency in general surgery. After moving to the United States, he completed three more residencies, including a residency in general surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn and two residencies in vascular surgery and cardiovascular & thoracic surgery at Carolinas HealthCare System in Charlotte, North Carolina.
